Hello, Everyone! I’m Jackie, and I’m so thrilled to welcome you to my corner of the Celebrant World!

As a celebrant based in the lovely East Midlands, my passion is helping you create a ceremony that is as unique and unforgettable as you are. With 41 years as a children’s surgical nurse, I bring compassion, warmth, and a big heart to everything I do - whether it is a wedding, funeral, or a naming ceremony. This background helps me connect on a deeper level, so your special day is celebrated with the utmost care and joy.

Weddings are such beautiful celebrations, and yes, they can bring all sorts of emotions! If you’re excited, nervous, or even simply curious, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My goal is to make sure you feel supported and free to enjoy
every wonderful moment.

As a mum of three and a grandma to six delightful grandchildren, I know how to make each occasion a joy! I embrace the fun and spontaneity of life, from joining in
on a bouncy castle adventure to sharing my quirky pottery creations—like a peapod with personality or a charming Loch Ness Monster! Little touches of fun like these can
bring your love story to life in a way that’s uniquely you.

For funerals, I understand that it’s a time to reflect, remember, and celebrate the incredible lives of those we love. I will be there with you every step of the way, making sure your loved one is honoured with the farewell they truly deserve. Together, we can celebrate their legacy and the love they shared with everyone around them.

Connecting with people is my absolute passion. My husband and I love dressing up in 1940s attire, stepping back in time, and getting involved in our community. This love of life, history, and socializing means I’ll bring a welcoming, warm approach to your
ceremony, making everyone feel right at home.

About Jackie

As a children's nurse I’ve been fortunate to spend my life alongside adults and children, sharing laughter, comforting, connection in both joyful and challenging times. As a mum of three and grandmother to six spirited grandchildren, I know just how to make each occasion feel joyous and meaningful! I believe in embracing life’s spontaneity; whether it’s on a bouncy castle or sharing a quirky pottery creations, these small, heartfelt touches can beautifully tell your unique love story.

A Truly Personal and Beautiful Farewell

Jackie worked with us to give our Much-loved Sister the best possible, personal funeral service that we could create. At a time that our emotions were very raw, Jackie worked with us and helped us create the day for our sister, the family and all the friends who attended. Nearly a month later, and people are still telling us how much the service felt personal to them, painted the full picture of our sister's life, and was delivered with care and professionalism. We couldn't ask for more!

We thank Jackie for her support, input and delivery of a lovely service that meant a great to everyone who attended!

Compassionate, Personal, and Unforgettable

Last week Jackie lead the service for my dad’s funeral. She was utterly amazing for start to finish.

The whole service Dads personality shone through.

We laughed, we cried, she supported us as a family amazingly & has continued to do so.

She doesn’t just stand and talk about your loved one, she really gets to know about that person & honestly you would think she knew them.

The time she puts into making the service perfect and her communication is faultless.

Not that I would like anymore funerals anytime soon, however I wouldn’t even hesitate she would be the first person I would call.

I’m hoping next time we use her is a wedding 💕

A Natural Fit for Celebrancy

Jackie has been my friend and colleague for over 18 years we have worked together in many roles and she provided great support to me over the years. Jackie is extremely funny and witty with the odd inappropriate comment thrown in for good measure!  She gets a great feel for people’s needs coming from a nursing background and she is able to adapt to lots of situations.

She is empathetic and kind and would capture the essence of you for any ceremony you had in mind. She will support you through the sad moments and inject the fun and laughter into the happy ones, helping to bring balance as we know happy and sad are intertwined. When I knew Jackie was taking this new career path I couldn’t think of a better fit for this role.

A True Friend with a Heart of Gold

I've known Jackie for quite a few years now we worked together in the hospital, actually she
was my Ward Sister!!

Jackie is the loveliest person you'll ever meet her character shines through. I class her as a very dear
friend as she was always there for me throughout my times of sadness. Her support and advice meant
the world to me (I can't thank her enough!).

She was always there to lend a shoulder to cry and laugh on which I sure did a lot of!! Nothing is ever
to much trouble for Jackie she is willing to help in any way she can. She makes you feel appreciated
in all you do.

Jackie is so full of life putting people at ease cracking a joke or two is her specialty. There was nothing to not like about her. This lady (if that's what you can call her hahahaha!) has a huge heart of gold a true legend and I for one miss her lots!!

Whoever is lucky to meet Jackie will
always remember her as kind, caring, loving, beautiful soul ❤️

I just want to thank you Jackie so much for taking my cousin's wife's funeral service on 3rd July 2025. My cousin and his family appreciated your dedication and warmth throughout the planning. The tribute you crafted was heartfelt and highlighted Wendy's compassion and many gifts. I learned things I hadn't known! I particularly enjoyed the delightful story about Wendy's love and nurturing of hedgehogs. I would whole heartedly recommend you for any celebration or ceremony; you have an outstanding talent for creating meaningful events.
